			BUTTERFLY UPDATE AUGUST 2004 Well its still going! Although the journey that was creating butterfly finished when I completed the film last year in March - the past 16 months has continued to see it develop and bizarrely like the insect itself, even change into something completely different as well; I'm pleased to report that Butterfly has been screened in the following festivals: • EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2003 • ANIMA MUNDI INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL OF BRAZIL 2003 - RECEIVED 3RD PRIZE PROFESSIONAL SHORTS • ANIMA 2004 INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL OF BRUSSELS - WON 1ST PRIZE GRAND PRIX PROFESSIONAL SHORT ANIMATION • CARTOONS ON THE BAY PULCINELLA AWARDS ITALY - 2004 • SEOUL INTERNATIONAL KOREAN ANIMATION FESTIVAL - 2004 • LONDON PORTOBELLO RD FILM FESTIVAL - 2004 It was also nominated for the Cartoon D'Or 2004 by International Animation Festival Of Brussels. Latest developments include the intertwining of Butterfly elements for the recent Keane music video for their single 'Bedshaped'. This involved shooting additional animation as well as animating the band and using footage from Butterfly to create the video which has just been screening on all the major MTV channels. Cat Deely of CD:UK fame said the video 'made her cry'.
