Butterfly: SYNOPSIS.

Butterfly is the tale of a tragic individual.
When ‘The Boy’ thinks his life is over before having been given the chance to live it he discovers hope at a point when it seems there isn’t any left...

Brought up by his Nosferatu-like priest uncle, sapped from his mother’s alcoholism and father’s imprisonment, The Boy’s only source of light comes from a force-fed religion, though when his elder brother is lost in a fatal car crash, the promises of this superficial light begin to fade..

Lost amongst the shadows of a forbidding city, The Boy grieves.
His increasing confusion and loneliness and ever-decreasing will to live have left him naked, grotesque and intent on self-destruction...
A series of rage filled, booze-fuelled events and terrifying premonitions lead him to a public toilet, where he scrawls a message amongst the crowded graffiti that clads the toilet’s walls:

"Where is our God now?"

Expecting it to be the last night he spends on this earth, The Boy is shocked and startled when he awakens the next morning in the locked toilet’s confines, to find a reply to his cry for help:

"I’ll be your God."

Has someone taken notice of him?

Who? Why? How?

A mysterious yet life changing graffiti conversation
unfolds into a fairytale story of awakening and transformation.
A search that finds The Boy befriending a lonely street cat, reunites him with his own long forgotten shadow and an encounter with his dead brother force him to confront himself and his feelings for the first time...

It is a dark and strange journey that leads to the unexpected discovery of hope and to the possibility of his own salvation - to take it upon himself to make something of the life he has,
no matter what...

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world,
The master calls... the Butterfly."
